DONKEYS SOLD |
Listed below is a small sample of the donkeys we have sold in the past.
(All photos are clickable to enlarge)
Cedar Creek Gypsy Rose Cedar Creek Gypsy Rose (DOB 7/26/10, 21” at birth). This striking red jennet has the best of pedigrees, being by Foxbow, and of our top producing jennet, Polly. Rose’s maternal sister, April, is our top show jennet, having earned the VHOF award, the Supreme Driving award (the first miniature jennet to do so), she been ADMS National Champion and was NMDA High Point jennet two years in a row (she has numerous halter wins as well). Rose’s other maternal sister, Nicolana, is just starting her show career, but she has been NMDA Grand Champion Halter donkey and this year she was High Point Reserve (green) at the Great Celebration (see both of these jennets on the “Awards” page). We expect little Gypsy Rose to be every bit as good as her older sisters and she has the added bonus of being sorrel! She has a beautiful head, straight legs front and back and a great top line. She is very inquisitive and friendly and she can’t get to you fast enough when you enter her pasture. She should make an outstanding show/breeding jennet. She would not be for sale except that we have kept two sorrel jennets from the last 2 foal crops and we want to keep our herd small. See her also on “Our Foal " page. |
Cedar Creek Shady
Lady Cedar Creek
Shady Lady (dob 10/5/09, 21” at birth). If you like dark and elegant this
little girl may be just what you are looking for. She is by our Jr. herd
sire, Foxbow, and out of our lovely
Valentino 50th daughter, Muffy, so
her bloodlines are absolutely outstanding. Both sire and dam are small so
Shady should stay small. Her color looks to be a smoky black but she could
shed off as a very dark brown. She carries the sorrel gene so she should
produce either dark or sorrel. She is only 3 days old in the photos but her
quality is already evident. Even at this young age she is really friendly
and runs up to greet anyone coming into the pasture. This little jennet should
make an outstanding show or breeding jennet. (also see Shady on “Our
Foals” page) |
Cedar Creek Champagne
Lady Cedar Creek
Champagne Lady (DOB 4/29/09) is a gorgeous and correct dark brown jennet
who has the looks and attitude to do well in the show ring. She has a beautiful
little head and great topline, perfect bite and straight legs. She is sired
by our Jr. herdsire, LN
Foxbow, and out of one of our retired show jennets, Tiny Bubbles. She has plenty of animation and a beautiful extended trot. The picture
was taken recently when she turned 3 months old. We forgot to measure her
at birth but her full siblings have finished at around 32” and we expect
her to mature to about the same size as her siblings. She is a little shaggy
as she is starting to shed her baby coat, but her dark brown color can be
seen coming in on her head. (see her also on the Foal page) We recently clipped some of the baby hair from little Lady and as you
can see by the pictures above (taken 09/08/09), she is absolutely gorgeous!
She has a very elegant head and neck, and while she has lots of
substance to her body and legs, she is still very feminine.
Her head and neck (clipped closer than her body which still has lots of
long baby hair) shows the dark chocolate color that she will be when she
sheds out. As you can see from the pictures, she has a beautiful topline
and a smooth rounded croup. She is a jennet of outstanding quality and
to top it all off, she has a people loving personality. |
Cedar Creek Mini
Cooper Cedar Creek
Mini Cooper (5/13/09 DOB) is by our Jr. head sire, Foxbow, and out of our
top show jennet, April. Cooper was purchased when he was just 3 weeks old
by Jamie Apple. (Sorry to those who have been asking about the availability
of April’s
first foal) He was named after one of Jamie’s favorite teachers. We
hope to see Cooper and Jamie in the show ring! (see Cooper also on the "foals" page.) |
Cedar Creek Little
Black Bantam Cedar
Creek Little Black Bantam, 21.5" at birth (DOB 2/21/09) is by
our junior herd sire, LN Foxbow, and
out of our champion producing, Merit of Breeding jennet, Polyahana. Bantam
has a top pedigree and he should make an outstanding show donkey. He
has a pretty little head, straight legs and a short body. His maternal
half sister, April, was ADMS
National Champion Miniature Donkey (2004) and End of Year NMDA High
point miniature donkey two years in a row. We expect this little guy
will be as good. He has an outstanding temperament and is one of the
first to great you when you enter his pasture. (see Bantam also on
the "foals" page.) |
Cedar Creek Special
Sondae Cedar Creek Special Sondae
(8/9/08 dob, 21.5") is a gorgeous red jack with an absolutely outstanding pedigree. Sondae's
sire, our senior herd sire, Sonne, is a top performance
and halter winner and has produced many halter and performance winners, including the 2004,
2005, 2006 and 2007 NMDA year end High Point jennets. Sondae's dam, Julie, is also a producer of champions and she is the dam of some top herdsires, including Sunset
Acres Blaze and Sunset Acres Red Sunset owned by Cyder Bay Farm in Wisconsin. (See both sire and dam on "Our Herd" pages). Sondae
is an outstanding foal in every way from his exquisite head to his beautiful straight legs.
He has a very outgoing and friendly personality and he follows us around like a puppy. Sondae
has the makings of a top show and herdsire. He is priced at $1500. If someone wants a top
show gelding/pet, we will sell this beautiful little boy for $750. (see Sondae also on the "foals" page.) |
Cedar Creek Midnight Tango The first of our 2008
foals has arrived (4/20/08) and he is a standout. With his dark color (black?) and his large
white star, he is hard to miss. With his bloodlines (by our Jr. herdsire, Foxbow.
and out of our show winner and Merit of Breeding jennet, Glory)
and conformation, he won't be overlooked in the show ring. More pictures of this little
guy on our "Our foal" page. |
Cedar Creek Scarlet
Starlet Photos Above Taken @ One Month Newborn Photos Below Cedar Creek Scarlet
Starlet (dob 7/10/07, 22.5" at birth). This little red jennet is stunning! She is by our
grand champion halter and performance winning jack, Redsonne
(see him on "Our sire" page). Starlet's dam is the gorgeous
red jennet, Julie (see her on "Our
jennet" page). Julie has some of the best foundation bloodlines in the breed and
is one of only a couple of Jennie Sam daughters still producing foals. Starlet has a short
coupled body, wide chest and perfect legs, both front and back. She has a beautiful neck
well set on her shoulders and a gorgeous head accented with a flashy white star. She has
an endearing personality and follows everyone around like a shadow. She is sure to make
a top show and breeding jennet. (see her also on "Our foal" page)
|
Cedar Creek Justin
Tyme Cedar Creek Justin Tyme
(DOB 3/06/07, 21.5” at birth). This little guy looks like me night be a "spitten image'
of his dad, Foxbow! He is out of one of our top producing
former show jennets, Tiny Buddles (see both
sire and dam on "Our Herd" page). This little guy has
outstanding conformation, a great topline, legs and head. He has an extended pedigree of
small donkeys (with blacks and sorrels in his background) and we expect him to stay small.
He look like he has the potential as a classy, correct herd sire. However, if someone wants
a top show gelding (halter or performance) this little boy may be what you are looking for
and we will price him at half the advertised price. ( See more photos of Justin on "Our
Foals" page. |
Cedar Creek Keepsake
(DOB 2/09/07, 22.5” at birth). This beautiful little jennet is by the black, Multi-Grand
Champion jack Itsy Bitsy Burro Co Majestic and out
of one of our former show jennets, Glory (see more about
her on the 'brood jennet' page.) She looks like she will be an
outstanding show and breeding prospect. Keepsake has great legs, and they don't get much
more stocky and short coupled than this little girl. She has a small typey head and an excellent
topline. Keepsake has two maternal sisters (Fancy
and Fanfare) that are both winning at halter and performance.
Her maternal sister, Fancy, has been NMDA End of Year
High Point Champion for two years in a row. In addition, Fancy was 2006 NMDA National Champion
High Point jennet (Green) at The Great Celebration in Shelbyville, Tennessee (see and read
more about Fancy on the "Awards" page). Given her background,
this little girl is destined to be a winner. To top it off, she loves people and she is
one of the first to run to the gate to be petted. |
Cedar Creek Ruby Valentino
(DOB 4/22/06). This beautiful little red jennet is a full sister to Beamer
(see more photos below) who is now in Texas and is a potential herdsire. The pedigree on
this little girl is outstanding as she is by our Sr. herdsire LN
Redsonne, and out of our Valentino 50th daughter, Sunset
Acres Sweet Muffy. (More photos of her sire and dam can be seen on Our
herd page). Ruby has a beautiful head and as can be seen in the photo from behind, she
looks like she will have the same excellent hindquarters and legs as does her mom Muffy.
(Muffy is still in her shaggy winter coat.) If you are in search of a show/breeding jennet
you cannot go wrong with this little girl. Visit out "Foal"
page for more photos! The pictures
of Ruby above with her head and neck shaved were taken right after she was clipped, mid
Aug.,2006. Therefore the red color of the clipped area has not yet returned. She is maturing
into a gorgeous little girl with a beautiful head and well set slender neck. Her top-line
and croup look like they will be outstanding. With her great legs, she is sure to get noticed
in the show ring. |
Cedar Creek Lady in
Red (DOB 6/26/06, 22.5” at birth ) is a beautiful little red jennet with both an outstanding
pedigree and conformation. Her yearling maternal half sister (Cedar
Creek Julie Sam) placed well in a very large (29 entries) halter class at our NMDA National
Show in Shelbyville TN (7/06) shown by a youth (Tyler Carlson)!! Her paternal half sister,
Cedar Creek Farm’s Fancy That, was National Champion
High Point (green) at the same show. Another paternal half sister, Cedar
Creek Farm’s April Love has been NMDA High Point Jennet of the Year for two years in
a row. This little girl should be an outstanding show (halter and performance)/breeding
jennet with a lot of style and class. (photos at 4 days of age). Visit out "Foal"
page for more photos! |
Cedar Creek Rodeo Red
(DOB 5/13/06, 23” at birth). If you are looking for a show gelding prospect that won’t get
overlooked in the show ring, this little guy might be what you are looking for! He has a
striking red color, a great body and legs and an “ up headed” head carriage. He has the
type of outgoing temperament that makes a good performance donkey. Visit out "Foal"
page for more photos of Rusty! |
More recent photos of
Wishing Star (with halter below) were taken when she was 6 weeks old and show her more true
to life, darker brown color and her beautiful ground covering trot.
Cedar Creek Wishing Star (DOB 3/15/06) This
elegant little jennet has an outstanding pedigree being sired by our Jr. herd sire, Foxbow,
and out of Tiny
Bubbles, one of our former show jennets who always produces her long level croup,
great legs and beautiful head. Wishing Star should stay fairly small as she was just 21.75"
at birth and she comes from a long line of small donkeys. She has an outgoing, friendly
temperament and she has been socialized since birth. If you are looking for a jennet with
potential to be both a top show jennet and later an outstanding brood jennet, this little
girl may be just what you are looking for. Visit out "Foal"
page for more photos! This beautiful girl has been sold. The recent picture below shows her at 4 mo of age, about a month after clipping. |

Cedar Creek Sonbeam
Cedar Creek Sonbeam ~ DOB 3/23/05 ~ 22"
tall at birth. This little boy is NICE and he can trot!! He has the straightest of legs,
front and back. His drafty build was obvious at birth, even before he was dry. He has a
wide chest, short cannon bones and a compact body. You can see where he gets his pretty
little head by looking at his sire and dam. His bloodlines are some of the best in the industry
being sired by our red multi-champion, Merit of Breeding winner, Sonne,
and out of our gorgeous red dam, Muffy,
also boasts outstanding bloodlines, she being the daughter of the legendary Valintino 50th
and out of a My World Buster daughter. (More photos of his sire and dam and be seen on "Our
Herd" page). "Beamer" is friendly and inquisitive and has the boldness and presence
about him that will command attention in the show ring. If you are looking for a show donkey
and potential future herd sire with both the phenotype and the genotype to win and produce
top babies, "Beamer" may be the boy you are looking for. Visit out "Foal"
page for more photos! |
Cedar Creek Annything Goes (DOB 3/12/05)
~ This pretty brown jennet (22" at birth) is a full sister to CCF
Shamrock who has started her show career in Texas with a bang. This little girl
looks to be one of the nicest jennets we have bred so far! Anny just exudes style and class.
Her conformation looks to be outstanding, with short cannon bones, straight legs, both front
and rear and a great topline. Her mom has one of the nicest heads we have seen and little
Anny looks like she will have that stylish little head. Anny looks like she could give her
two sisters (both now in Texas) a run for their money!! She has been well socialized since
birth and she is friendly and outgoing. |
Cedar Creek Daydream This dark brown little jennet, born 2/8/05, was only 21.5" at birth. She is out of our beautiful old Valintino 50th daughter, Sadie. This little girl looks a lot like her sire, Foxbow. (See both sire and dam on "Our Herd" page.) She looks like she will be short coupled with a great topline. All of Sadie's foals have had great legs and we expect no less from this little jennet. Her rich dark brown color and tiny, elegant head are just frosting on the cake! She has a bold, outgoing temperament that is sure to win your heart.
SOLD!!
Cedar Creek Farm's Shadow Dancer (DOB 1/03) is a gorgeous, very dark brown jennet with no light points. A number of people have inquired about purchasing her, but up until now, she has not been offered for sale. She has very correct conformation, straight legs and a pretty little head. She is entered into the ADMS Versatility Hall of Fame program and she has over 1/3 of the points, needed to obtain that award having earned points in both halter and performance. She has been a top placing donkey in trail classes (placing 4th in a class of 27 at the Great Celebration in Shelbyville) and won the lead line race at the NMDA show at the TN State Fair. All this was accomplished as a yearling!! Her temperament is the best and she loves to please. She has all the attributes necessary to make a top driving donkey. However, if one chooses to use her as a brood jennet, with her bloodlines and conformation, she should be outstanding. She is out of LN Neda, one of our best brood jennets. Neda (see "Our Herd" ) is by the great old foundation jennet, LN Neek. Shadow's sire is our striking Jr. herd sire, Foxbow (see on "Our Herd" page). The only reason this jennet is for sale is that we are keeping our herd very small and we have too many to show.
SOLD!!
Cedar Creek Farm's Cameo (DOB 4/04), pictured at 6 months of age, is maturing into a lovely, stocky jennet. She is out of our foundation jennet, Neda, and sired by our Foxworthy son, Foxbow (see both on "Our Herd" page). Cameo has a pretty head, straight legs and a short coupled body. She looks like she will mature into a squarely built, stylish jennet. She was not shown this year as she was too young for the NMDA shows. She has a great personality and is the first donkey to greet you when you enter her pasture. This little girl will be an exceptional buy for someone as a show or future breeding jennet.
SOLD!!
Cedar Creek Farm's Fantasy (DOB 8/04) is the last of our 2004 foals and she was worth waiting for! She is by our senior herd sire, Sonne, and out of our former show jennet, Glory, (both shown on "Our Herd" page). Fantasy has straight, correct legs, a short coupled body and a gorgeous little head. She has an inquisitive, friendly personality with the correct conformation, style and flair necessary to win in the show ring. Her two full sisters, Fancy (see on "Awards" page) and Fanfare (Foals, 2003) (recently named Champion Jennet at the Dixie Classic Show in Winston Salem NC, owned by Sandy Triplett) are both show jennets and from the looks of this little girl she will be as nice!! (see more photos of Fantasy on the "Foals" page).
SOLD!!
"Cedar Creek Farm's Shamrock" This little girl (Foxbow x Tiny Bubbles, see "Our Herd") should make a top show and breeding jennet. She has straight legs, front and back, a short cobby body and a gorgeous head. Her maternal half sister, "Cedar Creek Farm's Something Special", is pictured on the "Foals, 2003" page.
