~ Our Flock ~

~ The Boys ~
This gorgeous splash boy is of George Mihalik breeding and comes by way of M. Kuss in Minnesota. He was hatched in the fall of 2010 and came to Cedar Creek Farm in April 2011. He has dazzling color, great type, correct conformation, a dark comb and fine silky plumage. The first of his chicks, out of our show hens (see below), have hatched. We will keep and show a few of them and some of them will be for sale. We call this young boy "George" in honor of the master breeder who perfected his lovely silky variety.
This is Dylan at 3 years of age. He has matured into a striking boy. He has sired numerous Best of Breed and Reserve Featherleg chicks. He continues to be one of our main breeding roos. Some of his chicks will likely be available this spring (2013).
This young splash boy (hatched 6/31/10) is from Alan Stanford’s bloodlines by way of Dylan Silkies in Virginia. He has outstanding conformation and plumage, excellent feet and toe spacing and that sought after small, round, dark comb. We have chicks by him out of our show pullets and the mother to our show pullets. Some of the babies look to be outstanding.
This is one of our young roos, just six months old in the photo. He was hatched late Spring of 2013. He is sired by "George" and out of one of our best producing hens. He placed 1st the only time he was shown. We are expecting him to sire some fabulous chicks!
~ The Girls ~
Most of our breeding hens are our show birds.
They can be seen in the "Show Results" section.
These three full sisters were hatched by CCF in the spring of 2010. They have done extremely well in the shows (fall 2010, spring 2011) and one of them has always placed BV. In addition, between them, they have earned 2 BB, 1 RB and a Reserve Champion Feather Leg. Their first chicks have hatched (spring 2011) by one of the two above roos (all natural breeding).
~ 2014 Chicks ~
This is one of our early hatch birds, pictured at 7 months old. She is out of a young cockerel by Dylan and her mother is our Ch. Featherleg by George (Pic 2nd from top under show wins)(48G).
This pullet, pictured at 6 months of age is by George out of a pullet by our National BV Splash hen, (pictured 1st under Show wins)(56G).
This is a full sister to the first pullet pictured. She is about 2 weeks younger than her sister (61G).
This pullet, pictured at 5 months of age, is by our George son, pictured on Our Flock page. Her dam is a daughter of our National BV Spash hen (66G).
This promising young boy is a full sister to the pullet above (66G). He is pictured at about 3½ months of age (72G).
This pullet is a full sister hatch mate to the young roo pictured to her left. (75G)
This lovely pullet is pictured at 5 months of age. Her sire is a Dylan son and she is out of a lovely pullet that did well with limited showing last year. (81G)
This young boy, pictured at 5½ months of age, is showing lots of potential. He is one of the first chicks by our lovely George son, pictured above. His grandmother is our Silkie Nationals winning hen (BV) 2013. (79G)
This pullet, pictured at 5½ months of age, is a paternal half sister to 81G above. Her mother is our Best Featherleg, George daughter (you can see her on our Awards page).(78G)
This boy is pictured above. He just recently turned 5½ months old and you can see he shows lots of potential as a show/breeding bird. We have been lucky this year to have some really nice boys. A few will be for sale . (72G)
~ 2013 Chicks ~
This little boy, pictured at 5 months of age, was actually hatched out late in 2012 but we are including him on the “Chicks of 2013 page”. He was sired by Dylan (note the striking resemblance to his sire) and out of a hen by George. He has been sold.
This beautiful pullet, pictured at 5 months of age, is out of a blue George Mihalik bred hen and by a son of our splash roo "Dylan".
This five month old pullet is by “George” and out of one of our top producing young hens.
This little pullet, pictured at just thirteen weeks of age, a maternal half sister to the pullet on the left, is by "Dylan". Most of these young birds will get more vivid "splashes" as they mature.
This gorgeous boy, pictured at 5½ months of age, is out of a daughter of one of our top show hens (pictured 4th down, right side, “Chicks of 2012”) and by “George”. You can see that he still has lots of feathers coming in on his head.
This beautiful 5½ month old pullet is a full sibling hatch mate to the cockerel on the left.
This beautiful young pullet is just thirteen weeks old. Both her mother and grandmother (BV at the Silkie Nationals 2012) are champions. She is out of a son of ''Dylan'' .
This beautiful five month old boy is out of a blue "George Mihalik" bred hen and by a ''Dylan" son.
This little girl is a full sibling hatch mate to the pullet pictured just above her. She is just starting to get nice color.

This pullet is pictured at 4½ months of age. She is by George and out of one of our BB/Res FL hens.
This pullet is also by George and out of one of our champion show hens. She is 5 months old in the picture.
This pullet, pictured a 6 mo of age is sired by George and out of a BB/Res champ. FL hen.
This pullet is a full sister hatch mate to the pullet above.
This little pullet, pictured at 5½ months of age, is by Dylan, out of one of our best producing hens.
This little cockerel, pictured at 5 months of age, is a full brother to one of our 2011 BB and Res FL hens

This pullet, by George and out of a hen that has consistently produced BB winners, is 4 months old.
This little boy, just turned 8 weeks old. He is by George and out of one of our BB, Ch FL hens. He is just starting to get his 'splashes'. He, like his sire, will have a lighter base color.

This pullet is a full sister to the bird on the left, but from a 3 week earlier hatch.
This 8 week old little guy is by George out of one of our top show winning hens.
This little cockerel by Dylan and out of one of our top producing hens is also just 8 weeks old. Both of these little boys will get more “splashes” as they mature.
~ 2011 Chicks ~
This gorgeous 5 month old pullet is by “George” and out of our pullet that was Reserve Champion Featherleg in 2010 (see her on the awards page). This little girl now lives with Cheyenne Plummer. Watch for her in the upcoming shows in 2012.
This pullet is pictured at 9 weeks of age. She is out of Dylan and a maternal sister to our show hens. At this point sexes indicated are “best guesses” given the young age of these birds.
This little cockerel is pictured at 12 weeks of age. He is by Dylan out of one of our show hens.
Both of these 11 week old chicks are by Dylan.
This little cockerel by Dylan, pictured at 12 weeks, is out of one of our show hens.
This little Dylan pullet is pictured at 11 weeks of age. She will get more 'splashes' as she matures.
This 16 week old pullet is by Dylan out of the mother to our 3 show hens. She is the oldest of the chicks pictured above and hence she has the most vivid splashes.
